Why on earth do people do "Versions" which can add nothing to the original.

It just highlights their own musical inadequacies.

Hard to make a better version of an original. One remake that was definitely better was the Doctor and the Medics' version of Spirit in the Sky:

A far worse crime than doing a remake is sampling a good song and putting that in the background of a pile of crap song. Here is an example:



I heard that in a shop and almost had to bleach my ears. Shame on Toto if they let that happen for royalties!
