Timers

Does anyone use a timer for shooting their match cards? We shoot some time limit cards. I'm looking for something like a kitchen countdown timer but I think I need something that doesn't beep at the end so if I'm not spot on with my timing I don't disturb the other shooters. Anything out there?

I use a kitchen timer from Asda but that beeps. Not a problem for me as I only use it in sidebyside comps and everyone's beep.
If you have a smartphone like my boing you could use the timer on that and turn the volume right down?

If you use a smartphone of some type it will probably have a timer. I use an older iFone that has a very usable timing application.

I thought about using my phone but I'm on a quest to spend as much of my disposable income on shooting as possible!

Maybe it doesn't matter if it beeps then?

You can turn the beep off, I have all alerts permanently turned off on my 'phone other than the ring tone (Sometimes)

If you all start shooting at the same time under the same conditions then it shouldn't matter if it beeps. We hear quite a few going off as you walk down the range to change targets :)

Okay, thanks. I'd sooner have a kitchen timer as it doesn't need charging and I can just chuck it in my bag.

The kitchen timer I have runs off a mercury cell battery. Always take it out when packing away.
