What a long strange trip it's been...
I started shooting .22RF Rifle when I was 13yrs old, back in the mid 1970's.
Then as an Army Cadet I used Lee Enfield .303 rifles, and even a Bren gun.!
A 12 bore was carried over fields and woods, for rabbits and pigeons...
Then at about 16 years old I stopped shooting altogether.
A chance visit (in the mid 1990's) to the Marylebone Rifle & Pistol Club in London, started the whole thing off again.
Soon I was shooting a Glock 21, and two S&W 686 revolvers, now at Clubs in Herts, Essex & Beds.
Practical, and Police Pistol, were what I loved to do, and I was using an RCBS press to make the ammo.
And then of course it all went tits up, with the Hand Gun Ban of 1997... Heart breaking, and it still is.
I handed my stuff in, got some money, but the effect was crushing.
Instead of turning to Pistol calibre Carbines (like I should have), I handed the FAC back, in disgust.
Nearly twenty years later, I'm shooting various calibres, at various Clubs, and applying for my FAC a second time!
And I'm glad to be returning to the fold, at last...

There's 2 that spring to mind -
1) Don't call bullets - bullet heads, they're just bloody bullets alright!
2) Don't call firearms - weapons, you're not licenced to use them against people, so they're just firearms!
Have I missed any?

Welcome back. As a young 'un who had no firearms pre 1997 I often wonder if it's better to have love and lost than to have never have loved at all...
