ANY MUZZLE LOADING STOCKISTS IN OXFORDSHIRE AREA?

My variation for some black powder pistols has just come through and I'm now looking for suppliers of
consumables within a reasonable distance of Oxfordshire.

Whenever I do a Google for things like Pyrodex, 777, caps and so on I find lovely well-stocked shops that I could spend hours browsing in and they almost always turn out to be in Yorkshire somewhere - the best part of a working day's drive for a round trip.

Anyone know of some decent stockists of the basics for muzzle loading in the Oxfordshire area that doesn't involve £40 quid in petrol money and half a day's travel?

Cheers in advance.

Where are you? There's reloading solutions in abingdon I think it is, or Dmc custom cartridges in Shipton under wychwood, lovealls in witney, or Dauntseys but I think they might be in Wiltshire...there are others...

I'm just outside of Oxford. Reloading Solutions is in Kidlington (about four miles up the road from Oxford) - which I've used for reloading my modern firearms often I don't recall them selling anything for muzzle loading, nothing on their website, I've emailed them to check though.
I don't think Lovells are likely to have Pyrodex or 777 as when I asked Francis, during a visit a few weeks back, about some reloading powders and primers he didn't keep any. Lovells is mainly a shotgun and field rifle outlet in my experience. Great for .22, game cartridges, rifle ammunition in hunting calibres - not so much for pistol calibres and smokey stuff.

I've seen Dauntseys online - they're near Wooton Bassset about 100 mile round trip so not too bad but still a bit of a faff.

Things seem to have become more of a bother as shops seem unwilling to courier them - even to a nearer RFD.

Cheers.

Peter Starley's your man. OK so it's Warwick, but that's not a million miles from Oxford and he specialises in the black stuff.

Thanks. I'll look them up.

Also had word from Reloading Solutions that they can get hold of pretty much anything I want once I have settled on a purchase and know my exact needs. Might cost a bit extra as a special order but we'll see.

Neither did I but their reply to my query was very promising:

"There isn’t much we cannot supply for muzzle loading however I will not profess to us having it all on the shelf. If you let us know which specific items you require I am sure we’ll come back to you with pricing giving you the opportunity to proceed with placing an order or not. "
