just about to pop in a variation for a enfield no2, so starting to think about loading for it. any one got brass or dies?

supplier of boolits?

so far i've seen cdsg have dies, and spud seems to have some relcom brass

Should do it right and use the 200 grain slug :)

200 is the way to go :)

I haven't seen it since before Christmas and at that point I didn't know they were cropped as standard. I am 95% certain it has a spur.
The dealer also just keeps calling it 38 so I'm also assuming it is 38s&with. Need to double check when I see it for final pics this week

If it is a Mk1 and not been b*ggered about with by an armourer, it will have a spur and be double or single action. If it's a Mk1* it would have been made without the spur and double-action only.
I understand the majority were modified from Mk1 to Mk1* in service by having the spur removed, although some were 'unofficially' returned to Mk1 standard by some unit armourers. Somewhere I have a copy of Skennerton's SAIS book, but it's buried in the loft

I loaded 38 S&W for some years for a Mk4 Webley. The 200 grn bullet is definitely not the way to go as the gun shot about a foot high and close to a foot wide. With a 150 grn semi wadcutter, accuracy was quite good, but to make it a real tack driver, the 148grn hollow base wadcutter----loaded out, not flush with the case end---was needed. I never shot it at more than 20 yard and uses 2.1 grn of Bullseye in all loads.

Fred, thats really great advice, thanks! I know for a fact they aren't going to be happy with me using full wadcutters as I used them in my westlake (which this gun is replacing) previously and was moaned at for the state of the lynatex after! the 150gr semi wadcutters might be a good alternative, were you using .361 sized bullets or .357?
