Idly looking at getting a bolt 22 for mini mcqueens and long range 22.

Don't have a slot and with TVP so could take over a year to achieve!

I probably wont go the Anschutz route but have been trying to find out what the difference is between the two?

Hardly any info on their website on the 1417 which I would assume is newer than the 1416?

Have seen both for sale.

Trying to negotiate the Anschutz model number system is a mine field. I think the 1417 comes with a two stage trigger, which is a 'must have' imho, and a shorter - 14" - barrel. Apart from that, sorry but I haven't got a clue.

Hi,
I have a 1417 with a 14" barrel. Impressed by the build quality and two stage trigger. When I looked at the details on the barrel it was stramped 1416 so I phoned the importers Ruag for an explanation. From what I recall, the 1417 14" was for the uk market . Did not explain the 1416 stamp on the barrel for me but all receipts and box stated 1417. Does not bother me though. The rifle is top draw and not long after I acquired an anshutz .17 HMR model 1517 . bangbang
