Hi All,

From the discussions I've seen on the forum, I think some would like 'Bushcraft and survival skills' magazine. http://www.bushcraftmagazine.com/. I've been getting it for a few years, and it's not a 'macho' mag, but has all sorts of cool stuff in it. There's regular contributions from people like Ray Mears and Lars Falt (unfortunatly that Burke Grylls aswell)....plus skills, crafts, recipies, reviews etc. etc.

Looks interesting. I will listen to what Ray Mears has to say all day long. However I will not buy anything that is remotely associated with that t*@t Bear Grylls. What a Bellend he is.

Ray Mears seems to have a great understanding and empathy with nature and the people that live with nature, the look of delight on his face when he shows tribes people the lost art of making fire is so good to watch.

That other German polar bear is, well words fail me. He even stops in hotels at the end of the day FFS!

Merged the two topics and moved the thread into Emergency Planning.

I apologise for my language Christel :) Its just he really winds me up. Gerber have gone down in my estimation now, bringing out signature "Grylls" knives. Apparantley they have a fold out luxury double air bed and a direct dial for room service. The blokes a fraud. The Brownies knowledge of fieldcraft is far superior to the crap he does.

No strong views at all Doz

James,

You can call him whatever you want under the sun, I am sure the swear filter takes most things these days :)

I am not offended, never am. I was brought up by a carpenter father with a brother who has spent most of his life under tanks fixing them.

BG is the most fake and obnoxious person I have ever watched on tv. Funny, one of our neighbours is an absolute fan, maybe it is the religious aspect...
