6.5 Creedmoor neck die

#1 Post by Gerry939 »

Hi I'm looking for a 6.5 Creedmoor neck die as I only use the same brass in the same rifle, should increase the life of the brass , so I'm told...thanks in advance. :flag13:

Just use the full length size die, back it off to set minimum head space so the brass is doing as little work as possible :)
There's room for all Gods creatures, next to the mash and gravy :)

I always thought that the re-size process contributed to the change in structure (and thus life) of the brass but apparently it doesn't - it's just the firing process.

This came to light during a study by a university student on the life and annealing of brass cartridge cases for his dissertation. It was actually published on the net so you may be able to find it somewhere.

Even so - always full-length size - why wouldn't yer?
