I'm after a 1/2" UNF thread protector but must have an outside diameter of .920" so it blends relatively well with a Ruger 10/22 bull barrel. Blue preferred.
Thanks.

That's crazy money for what it is unfortunately I don't have a 1/2" x 28 TPI tap so I can not help.

What about one of these?
Sure it's Chinese but you can't grumble at the price.
The listed item seems a few mm shy on the ext. diam but the FEATURES section gives the impression they have one for .920" bull barrels too. Worth contacting them to find out.

Cheers gents, but it is a 1/2 UNF I'm after. It's not factory threaded, I'm having it chopped and threaded myself and going with the UNF to utilise a couple of moderators that I have.

Thanks for the offer Neil, I appreciate it. It's a bull barrel .920 that I really wanted and it looks like David is able to make me one!

If you're having it chopped & threaded why not get the gunsmith to just make you one at the same time? It's how we do it at our place. Also think about an invisible thread protector cap, I'm guessing you want it all looking neat so that's probably be a better option too.

I'm guessing David is Ovenpaa if so I'm sure he will machine what ever Sim G wants with out any problems.

This is a thread protector I machined yesterday, it will be Cerakoted once the bottom metal has arrived and I have cut it in. It is actually silky smooth to the touch however the image shows some lines, probably reflection from the carpet. Personally I prefer something you can grip however people do like invisible caps
