Here was me thinking it was a post about the Brexit "negotiations".

I saw a documentary on this last year and its looks great! If only I still had the cardio to do it!

I had always thought such thing were very composed and good natured until I met a chap at work from the Sealed Knot, he simply hated the Cavaliers and would often return to work on a Monday with spectacular bruises and cuts and said the occasional broken bone was par for the course. That was many years ago so things may have changed.

Did something similar for the guests to our Tenth Wedding Anniversary which was a reavowal in the form of a Viking ceremony. The guests could armour up and go one on one with padded or unpadded training weapons and full weight shields. Most fought in good humour but the ladies could be downright nasty especially if they were resolving "issues" with their husbands!

Ach, you see better fights on a stairheid in Glasgow or Greenock on a Friday night ............ Looks like fun could be had though... legalised assault with a deadly weapon, what's not to like?

Now why don't they go the whole hog and get the long tables out around the field, get the food, drink and serving wenches in attendance and make a right good day of it for all...

Nah, wouldn't have fitted into Wallaces stuff, but I did make the shield, chainmail (all 17kg of the stuff!) and the leather armour.
