Target sight for Enfield No4 MK1*

#1 Post by safetyfirst »

Hello!
I've got a friend with a long branch MK1* and it's got the little flip up battle sight.

Can I fit it with a normal adjustable sight like my Enfield has and does anyone have one in a drawer?

No problem fitting a ladder type rear sight, it's just a matter of pushing out the tiny pin in the left side of the action, then removing the slotted retainer. I bought mine from a well known internet auction site. It cost me about twenty quid if I remember correctly.

There are some really nice replacement rear peep sights for No4s depends on how original you want to keep it ?.
As I remember Parker hale produced an after market fully adjustable one that you could fit different iris on, just a matter of biding you time
and finding one on that well known auction sight (Don't want to advertise) also Enfield No 5s sight will fit but with shorter range calibration though

I've been kindly offered a singer micro sight by a member so that's perfect I reckon! Thanks all.
