I am in the market for an IZMASH made AK in 7.62x39 but would also be interested in a Bulgarian version if anyone has one going?

Don't dismiss the Romanian variants, as close to a Soviet-era AKM/AKMS as you'll get at the moment

Scrap that, I meant underfolder and having just check they do although it looks like it's angled downward or is that just me?

Looks angled downward to me too. You will need some sort of padding on the metal arm me thinks.

The standard Romanian stock is angled downward although a Russian/Polish underfolding stock can be fitted that sits straight but the rear trunnion has to be modified as the Romanian stock only locks on one side whereas the Russian/Polish stock locks on both, also the orientation of a retaining pin in the mechanism is different.I fitted a Soviet stock to my AKMS that I had and to be honest it wasn't too bad to do as long as you take your time. The Russian/Polish stock also looks better in my opinion.

Saiga's aren't available as an underfolder, the only other underfolder option is the Bulgarian AR-M2F with is a short barrel carbine.

My old Soviet-ised Romanian AKMS with the Russian stock fitted

Looks beaut! I'm hunting for a 103 at the moment and the only person selling one has it up for 1600 with loads of gizzets attached. Ouchy.

I’ve got a side folder conversion in the classifieds if that helps!

103 type will be a side folder with either a full polymer or steel triangle stock, like one of my old ones......had a few! lol
