As far as I am aware barrels are pressure bearing parts and require to be entered on your certificate

Postcode lottery when it comes to S2, some put them on your SGC, some don't. Every one I've heard of insists for a S1 shotgun spare barrel.

The REAL fun comes in if you have the same make/model shotgun in S1 and S2 formats 5mith :run: lol

Shotgun barrels regardless of S1 or S2 are not licensable items. Having said that I remember reading of someone who was nicked for having the sawn off section of a shotgun barrel in his possession :)

If any one bought last weeks shooting times in the questions page this question has been asked, and it says you do not need any authority to acquire another barrel for a shotgun unless its a sec 1 shotgun and then obviously a extra variation would be acquired, but itl still be a postcode thing for some.
