Hey all, I need a new barrel, I bought a cheap Remington 1100 "project gun" and the barrel has three huge pits near the chamber, I'm not keen on firing it.
So I need a new barrel, anyone got one knocking around? I can find them online second hand for around £150 but I can get a new gun for £250 so I'm not that keen!

Ps, here is a pic of the pitting, hard to get a good picture but there are three of these deep pits all about 1”-1.5” into the barrel.
Is this safe to fire do we think? Am I being a wimp? Or should I discard it immediately?

I would take it to a gunsmith and get him to look at it.

That’d suit me, you’re welcome to the 1100 for the price I paid for it seeing as you have the barrel!
