New toy

Picked up a new toy this week, 1968(I think) BSA mk2 that was potentially heading for the scrap yard as a club was getting rid so I paid a visit and took it off their hands complete with original sights for the princely sum of £50 lollol

Anyway a purchase from UK Varminting secured a nice Tasco 10-40 scope and a trip up to see David and Christel sorted the scope bracket.

Popped up to Barnwell this morning and zeroed it , Debs proceeded to plink at some bench rest targets putting in some very tidy results.

Total outlay £210 :good:

All in all very happy.

Alan

Very nice! Those martini action 22 rifles are pretty neat.

Did it shoot as well as it looks? I ended up spending all afternoon doing the same to a couple more rifles :)

Unfortunately they don't make guns like that any more.

Still as long as the shooting community continue to despise them because they are "old", not new and in current fashion, then fine rifles at realistic prices will be available to those sensible shooters who recognise a fine gun by looking at it rather than having to be told what is good on farcebook and the like.

It was better than I expected I didn't get any group pics but for a 50year old rifle I have no complaints lollol

I had one of those dirty Martini’s but I couldn’t get enough rail space on it for my laser and PEQ box.

Too modern for me. My .22 Greener Miniature Club Martini is pre: WW1.

It's crazy that they're being released for £50! Kudos for finding one though.

Around these parts they're like rockinghorse poo as they're fantastic benchrest rifles. The barrels are very accurate.

Enjoy! :)
