Snider .577

Up for sale is my Nepalese Snider in .577. It hasn't been used as I got my Artillery Carbine from IMA instead so I'm shifting it.

Condition is good/excellent and the bore is mint. No rust, woodwork is in good condition and it locks up solidly.

It comes with its bayonet and if you are putting it on ticket, I can also provide brass and have a mould for it as well. I'm not selling the mould but I can cast up a few for you to get started.

Price is £600 + £25 postage which I believe is a very fair price. I haven't seen many of these sold in the UK but there is one on a popular site at the moment for £755.

Are there any proof markings on it?

I'm not sure what the markings mean but it has a Nepalese but not a UK stamp that I can see.

Hello James, did you sell the brass with the rifle? My mate just picked up a Snider but is struggling to find brass to shoot it!!
Cheers, Mat

Hi Mat,

I sold off all my spares, however I have 100 x 24g shotgun hulls tucked away in the workshop.

If he wants some made up, I can make some as I still have the die set. I have no idea what to charge though :/

How many would he want?

Ta,

James

Hello James,

Thank you for the reply, however another member got in touch with some .577 brass for sale, so he's decided to go down that route.

All the best,
Mat
