I remember when they had SPAS-12's in my mums Great Universal mail order catalogue for a few quid a week!!!

very few of us did...but if you went to the post office you got an SGC for 10/6d!
Relum Tornado and ASI Sniper air rifles....
For a while I misread HAMMERLESS as HARMLESS Shotguns...

I had both those air rifles.
15 yo - just arrived from Ireland where airguns were rare and on FAC.
Imagine my excitement when I stepped into a gunshop and saw the ASI !
Then imagine my excitement when told no licence was required
As I threw my cash at the dealer, he said "You are over 18 arnt you ?"
"Oh yes" says I................

Ahh happy days indeed - when you could up the local woods and plink away all day with an orange or green can of Webley pellets and NO ONE came along all tooled up in a load of cars and a helicopter to stop you...
