On Saturday July 16th I did a WWI French poliu display at the Le Paris French Bakery in Albuquerque, it was a small display but was fun to talk to people about the stuff.

Great pictures and a wonderful array of rifles and pistols. What started your French connection/interest?

My first weapon I ever purchased was the Fusil de Infanterie Modèle 1886 Modifié 1893 dit Lebel in the far left of the rife rack and wanted to learn as much about it as I could. I read up as much as I find at the time, weapon, usage, etc. then I go interested in French stuff, got into WWI reenacting and now it is like a full-time job, teaching others about it :)

Did you buy the pistols and rifles in the US?

Yes all my weapons were bought in the US. Some of the other stuff was bought in both the US and France.
I only get to eat escargot once a year if I am lucky and this was perfect place to have it, in a French Bakery made by a very excellent French cook :)
