Anyone with a Colt M1911 barrel in
.455 Webley S-L (Webley Auto) ?
These pistols were at one time popular for conversion for "Practical Pistol" , the mag being slightly wider there was little work needed to ensure that a standard. 45ACP mag would just drop out when the button was hit.
In THOSE days the .455WA Colt was "just another old pistol " ;-(

Got more chance of tripping over a pot of leprachaun gold and falling face first into a pile of unicorn sh!t than finding one of those! No harm in asking though, good luck!

You could also try calling all of the S7.3 clubs listed in the Firearm Licensing Guidance for Police?

Re: Colt 1911 barrel?
Could you not simply rechamber a standard 45ACP barrel?

Yes, but there are other alterations required PLUS
(a) it would need Proof
(b) it would not be "pukka" for s.7 (1)
and it would not be cost-effective.
Curses!
