So parts for a p14 all worn but very serviceable.

Trigger guard
Magazine well spring and follower
Butt plate
Rear sling swivel
Trigger
Bolt shroud
Cocking piece
Extractor box complete with a spare spring
Misc screw
Complete bolt (bolt body only for sale to RFD)
Walnut stock with shortened forend no top wood.
£55 posted Ono or will split.

I’m gutted that the stock has been shortened but thanks for being clear on that.

If I had needed any of the parts for that price and posted I would have bitten your hand off, if nobody bites look on that online auction site at the values you may be surprised!!

It could help your cause if you mentioned what code letter (if any) is stamped on the parts ie, W. Winchester, R. Remington!

No receiver? I have just acquired another P13 trials barrel and would like to use it.

I thought that I read somewhere, sometime that P14 parts were not always interchangeable between different manufacturers.
I know that I had a problem with changing my magwell and cartridge platform/spring even when using all Winchester parts.
I am sure that some P14 buff will correct me if I am incorrect.

I have also read that during the early build parts between the three factories were not always interchangeable, and on occasion not always from the same factory! I have had to fit Eddystone parts to Winchesters in the past with out issues and have out of curiosity swapped bolts over over and they actually head spaced OK (It was close!)

As well as the three there were the very original Vickers build and the very last Parker Hale badged variants which surprisingly are not necessarily the best shooters. My personal 1000 yard version is a Remington with fine vernier rear sight and filled screw holes in the butt which, I am assured, never existed :)

Mostly Eddiestone stamped.
No actions it’s now got a 416 barrel and new stock.

This topic of interchangeability can be quite daunting and even using the Small Arms Identification series .303 Pattern 1914 Rifle & Sniping variants by Ian Skennerton you still have to study it closely.
The author has gone to great lengths to list interchangeable parts/non interchangeable parts.
Take for instance the magazine box, Remington and Eddystone have the feed lip the Winchester doesn’t, and it’s greater in depth, in my amateur experience even the correct marked box still needs to have the feed lip‘ finished’/‘polished’ to ensure a good cartridge feed, the cartridge follower differs between makers!
The list goes on but without the correctly marked parts you basically have no starting point, that’s the case for sourcing correctly marked parts, even then you go to extreme lengths to try and keep the correct matching parts for that branded rifle.
It can be a challenge to get it right without a multitude of interchangeable spares!!

Your fine vernier rear sight you mentioned is that the one with the knurled fine elevation adjustment if so that particular rear leaf fine adjustment sight is common to the sniper variant not your standard issue Remington P14, if ever you have a spare one of those please let me know!

Parker’s did refurbish P14’s for target use, came across a Remington refurbished for target with a Parker Hale 5B rear target sight, and also sporterized P14’s for Stalking.

Where were the filled screw holes situated in the butt, sounds interesting.

I came across an all original looking P14, declared un-shot at the time, with superb furniture and finish and it was probably described correctly.

Yes, it is the knurled adjuster and the filled holes are where the cheek piece has been removed. I have never treated my rifle as an 'original' anything, nor would I suggest it was. I just enjoy it for what it is. These days there are far too many 'sniper' rifles of extremely dubious origin. People here in the UK and abroad mimic them adding the finest details, no doubt eBlag has parts and stamps listed right now. I was lucky enough to shoot an all original German Mauser sniper many years ago, how did I know it was original? Because it was in DK and it came out of the kitchen roof of the parents of the chap who owned it, I shot a dozen rounds or so at 300m. Upon finishing I offered the owner the 4(T) I had with me however he declined.

Fine vernier sights are extremely few and far between these days and the last ones I came across were considerably more than I paid for my rifle!
