Bore shiny with strong lands and grooves, muzzle and crown are all very good condition.
See pictures for general condition. The rifle is fitted with a battle sight only, as I used it with an old type steel no smith mount and scope.

Thanks Bill

Scope mount arrived today, really easy to fit.

Must admit some reluctance, but my old eyes need all the help they can get these days. aaarggh

Hello
The steel ones are a really solid job.
I have one on my No4 Mk1 with a Pecar.
I don't think it detracts that much from the timeless elegance of the Enfield.
And the best thing is its smithless, and allows ageing eyes to continue on target.

Scopes I know nothing about, this Hawke one was a freebie from a mate.

And its not something I want to spend a fortune on..

If someone could recommend something better for the rifle but reasonably priced then I am prepared to be educated.
