Response to C-19

Most of the people asked believe that China is to blame for the spread of C-19.
They also think that China should be sued if it can be proved that they breached international law at the beginning of the outbreak.

What Court would hear a civil liability case against China? And who would enforce judgement if needed?
Careful now/that sort of thing

Re: Response to C-19
Even when it became a full pandemic and the death toll was rising rapidly the response by our own government was less than stellar to be honest!.
How many of the folks that blame the Chinese for Covid and the deaths it has caused also carried on seeing family and friends during the lockdown or have crowded onto beaches etc during the hot weather???.

Re: Response to C-19
I have a slight problem with the C19 thing-----my wife and I think that we had it in January. We came down with a virus infection with all the reported symptons of C19 except that we did not have a very high temperature. The infection was most unpleasant and unlike anything that we had contracted before.
This is a resperitory desease----what precentage of the people who have died from it are, or were, smokers?

I'm sure I read somewhere that, going by the experiences in other countries, that smokers were in fact less inclined to contract Covid......how true that is I don't know or how detailed any actual studies have been.FredB wrote:I have a slight problem with the C19 thing-----my wife and I think that we had it in January. I also think I had it in early January, and it dragged on for around 3 weeks but at the time I put it down to a nasty bout of 'flu so who knows. There were quite a large number of people that had something similar at work at the same time.

The wife and I both had similar symptoms in January and so did people at work.

It's been around since September at least!
Its lethality seems to centre around the old and infirm.

Re: Response to C-19
I was just wondering if any of the people that are sure they had it before Feb. have actually had antibody test?
There are lots of respiratory diseases out there, and most of them have a much lower mortality rate then is being seen with this.
I am amongst those that had similar symptoms (cough and generally unwell, no temperature or changes in taste/smell) in late December, but haven't had an antibody test so don't know if it was Covid-19.
