Despite the restrictions we live with at the moment - make the most of it.

I watched the Festival of Remembrance last night and that was extremely well done.

This morning at the Cenotaph was very sombre, perhaps they could have permitted one representative from each Ship, Regiment, or Wing and Association to lay a wreath so maybe 100 or so.

Why did kamikaze pilots wear helmets?

God loves stupid people, that is why he made so many of them.

Yes, it was a sombre affair.

Got to ask, who was the chap standing next to William?
Old, arthritic.

Yes, thought it was well done under the circumstances - not sure about the gospel choir though.

Field Marshall HRH Prince Edward, Duke of Kent - definitely. 21 years military service up to 1976 when he left active service, promoted to FM in 1993. He is now 85 yo. He is President of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.

His father was Prince George, Duke of Kent, who was killed in a flying accident in 1942 whilst on active service and commemorated in a Church Yard very close to me.
