Maltby number 4

A few pics of my 1941 date Maltby number 4 rifle. It has a two groove barrel. It is all matching including the wood. The stock is still shaped for a cut off that was never used on the No. 4. One of the early production rifles made here. It shoots OK for me. It currently has a PH5C target sight on it. I have a dispersal SMLE that is younger than this rifle.
A few pics.
Regards
Peter.

Nice and quite unusual as well. I would give it house room!

I had a lovely '43 dated Maltby which I let go so as to be able to get my current 4(T).

I have what appears to be a near-idenical 1941 Matlby No. 4. I have a TZ sight on mine - was hitting steel at 600m with it back in August. Lovely piece of working history.
