Another Danish military rifle

No idea what the calibre is but I can stick my finger down the end of this one! This is a wall hanger at the shooting centre and was used in the First Schleswig War between Denmark and Germany in 1848, this rifle was later presented to the shooting club and was in use as a shooter until 1900. I found it of interest as I am reading about Danish rifles makers and military rifles at the moment (OK Christel is reading to me as it is in Danish)
It was the Second Schleswig War a few years later where the Danes lost amongst other things to superior rifle power (They were still using ML's) that led to the introduction of the Krag Jorgensen breach loading rifles.
Hopefully the Viking will translate the document so we can all understand it.It was the Second Schleswig War a few years later where the Danes lost amongst other things to superior rifle power (They were still using ML's) that led to the introduction of the Krag Jorgensen breach loading rifles.
