Bell target shooting.
The forum I used to visit apparently now lives here on full bore UK.
Any way I run the underlever night on a Tuesday evening at my local club. I am on A range and the air rifles etc are on B range. The underlever seems to have died a death due to Covid. So I have been shutting up shop early and popping into B range were they are shooting among other things bell targets.
Air rifles are not some thing I am familiar with but this bell target thing is interesting. I have had a go with members borrowed guns.
My question is can any one recommend a not to expensive springer for a first gun to compete with.
And does any one know where the forum went.? I know Christel post the comp results here but what ever happened to the forum.

Re: Bell target shooting.
I think it is just the results posted here that exists now.
Bell Target is great fun and really hones your off-hand skills. I just wish I had more time to shoot a couple of rounds every now and again, since lock down ended the range has been busy and I hardly get a look in.

This is the forum now.
I am shooting an 'original 66' so a traditional 1970s springer albeit recoilless ish. I would not even contemplate a modern PCP target rifle however Christel shoots one herself.

New Venue in Lincolnshire for Bell Shooting 27 December 2021
On 27th December 2021 there is an organised Bell Shoot at The Red Lion, Fen Road, East Kirkby, Lincolnshire. Post Code is PE23 4DB.
This is the second event to be held at the pub in the last few weeks and if there is sufficient interest it is planned to start a Club and shoot competitively on a weekly basis.
If interested, it starts at 19.30hrs in the Function Room at the pub
regards
Geoff
ps I'm just a messenger passing on the info as its my brothers local!

Re: Bell target shooting.
Well, Chris the landlord is keen and my brother has bought his own bell for £140, so he's keen. Graham who is organising it is serious about making it work. My problem is that I live 2 hours away.
It just needs people to turn up. Flier's have been sent out to at least one local shooting club and there is interest there.
I'm going so I just hope others turn up to support it and get it off the ground.

Look forward to a report and photographs of the proceedings in due course.
