I've just noticed there are some reloading bolt-ons for the A&D FX-120i lab scale, which I have and love. There's the Autotrickler V3 and the new V4... plus the SuperTrickler is due in May.
13-18 seconds per load is impressive... does anyone have any hands-on experience of either the Autotrickler V3/V4 or the pending SuperTrickler?

I had a v3 which I found ok if a little noisy,
I've now got a v4 which didn't seem any faster at first but once you get it set up to calibrate the optimum trickle it definitely seems quicker to me ,not that I've timed any of them,
It just saves so much time,

The V4 is supposed to be really quiet, it looks like the perfect powder solution to me... 13-18 seconds for kernel-level (.02GN) accuracy is exceptional... Any complaints about the V4 at all?

Only issue I have is having to shim the back by 10 thou for short kernel powders and 20 thou for large kernel like N560.
This alters the flow rate.
An adjustable dial at the back would have been nice.

Thanks that's useful... Is this the V4?

I do have a couple of questions... when you've got that u shape thing stuck to the base plate, how do you calibrate your scale? Also... during calibration, does the V4 know not to throw the powder over your check weight?

Exactly the same as without it. Calibration starts with setting zero, so any variation in the balance pan weight is excluded.
Imagine if the balance pans all had to weigh exactly the same (to less than 1 mg in this case) - that would be a manufacturing nightmare. Then consider that the weight would change over time. Then consider extending that to 0.1mg balances.
You can calibrate just fine with a powder pot locator. I made my first pot locator from card and sellotape (It's still like that), then shortly after I showed video of it these fancy machines ones arrived.
