I am getting lazy in my old age I see a lot of people on YouTube etc using Lyman, RCBS, or Hornady electronic powder tricklers to load there ammo there are other brands as well that I am not familiar with. Are you Guys using any of these if so which one is the one to buy or not buy as the case may be. How do you rate them over a Powder measure and beam scale.

I used a friend's Hornady when I loaded 8mm Mauser, it was great as whilst dispensing a load I finished the previous round.
Not so when I tried 8 grains though as has enough time for a nap it took so long.
I am kinda of a technophobe, but this worked for me, it was easy to use and removed those initial reloading fears of getting things wrong.
I only load pistol calibres and Martini Henry rounds now.
I would say it's about what makes you feel comfortable in your reloading, I started as most do with the Lee balance scale but did not feel confident, the Hornady do dad did.
If you can see if you can borrow one and see if you like it.

I use an RCBS Chargemaster Lite and it works great, is accurate but compared to loading using the Lee turret press mounted powder measure it is monumentally slow. It probably doubles my overall loading time. IF you want precision over volume though its worth it

There are three that I would consider, depending on budget, application and preference. Two of them are made by members of this forum.

1) Targetmaster Trickler, by 1066 of this forum.
2) RCBS Chargemaster Lite
3) <Unnamed>, by rox of this forum*

*Since you can't buy 3 you would have to make do with the next best thing, currently the AutoTrickler.
Also look out for the SuperTrickler, It looks promising, but it's not available yet and may have some wrinkles to iron-out.

If you plan to finish a round while it (the electronic scale) dispenses the next you will need a VERY solid bench or have the scales on a shelf or separate bench. As any slight movement can effect the scale.

Yes I have a target Master trickler made by 1066 I have had it a while and it works great. I just wondered if the other offerings were any good. I am guessing if used for rifle charges the other makes would slow things down.

I have a Lyman Gen6 which is about 10 years old and probably thrown several thousand rifle charges,
It very consistent and within the 0.1 grain tolerance. I wouldnt bother using it for pistol rounds. Lee autodisc is fine for those.
I use Lee scoops with the powder in an aerosol lid for an initial dump.
Have the target master trickler too which works fine. Use the lee scoop trick for that as well.

I have the Hornady Autocharge Powder Dispenser and it works fine, like Vossie I'm bullet seating while the next load is dispensed.

For plinking loads I rely solely on the Autocharge, but when more accuracy is required I dial in 0.1 gn less that required, then tip the dispensed load into a beam balance pan and trickle up to the required weight.. I reckon I'm accurate to at least 0.05gn that way.

RCBS Chargemaster is probably my favourite piece of reloading kit.
