I ended up with a few empty 5,56x45 AMA cases last week and just noticed they are Boxer primed so can be reloaded, is this normal for 5,56x45 brass?

Don't know if it's 'normal' but it's certainly not unusual. :)

Quite common now.
There is one sort that you will break your decapping pin on that is common up here.
I have a load of DAG that I could be persuaded to part with. Military brass from Germany.

I reload DAG brass for my AR15, fantastic stuff, on my sixth reload with them. Not parting with my stock..... :good:

I only have a few of these AMA and I am not a .223 shooter so if someone wants to try them they are welcome, I have a feeling I can pick a few more up next time we are over in DK if people are interested.

No ,due to poor health I did not shoot this year.My son made up the test with me loading.
At close range I have found the small primed Lapua Palma to give best results.I have prepped quite a lot of cases though and will try them whenever I feel well enough.
Sincerely
Filippo

I am sorry to hear you have not been feeling too well and hopefully you will be back up to speed very shortly, you cannot miss shooting for so long Fillippo, it is not good for you!

I would be interested to hear more on your results between small and large primers

I did not choose, I could not shoot.I only entered one match doing so poorly than it was not worth the trouble. Then I had to wait for my license renewal so I lost the season.
I do hope it will improve.I will let you know about the results of my testing also at longer ranges.
sincerely
Filippo
