WW1 German Gewehr 98 for sale
Posted: Sun Jun 26, 2022 6:10 pm
German first world war dated 1915 Gewehr 98, made at the Amberg factory, no Turkish markings.
Had this rifle around 12 years. Mostly matching numbers, barrel action, barrel bands, floorplate, stock, and some screws, the bolt doesn't.
Good barrel , which shoots a good group.
The metal hardware such as the barrel bands, trigger guard, floor plate, and butt plate are a little frosty (small pits in the metal)
The wood has nice tiger striped pattern, it has no repairs or cracks, but does have some bruises and some dinks , which I have tried to show in the pictures , bearing in mind that this is 107 year old rifle.
When I got the rifle ,I found that the cleaning rod has lost its thread but it does stay in the gun , and it's original to the rifle which is why I never replaced it.
Honest sale, and selling due to fund for another rifle
Thanks
