Split necks
I recently had my 1892 Berthier carbine at the range. I was using Prvi cases. These had been loaded and fired once without a problem and then reloaded again. Out of the fifteen I fired, ten of them split the necks. I am a bit reluctant to fire the other thirty five in the box. What to do? Pull the rounds, fire the primer and anneal the case mouth? I want more than two loads from these cases. Anyone else had this happen on nearly new cases? The rifle has the N stamp for the upgraded chamber. I might just put it at the back of the cabinet and shoot something else.

I anneal all new cases before using them. Since this is expensive brass, I would pull them and anneal them.

I would anneal the remainder and then neck size in future.

No, these are boxer primed Prvi cases. I have decapped live primers but only the odd one, not this many.
