Bisley firearms storage
Our small club has two ammo boxes and three rifles in the NRA armoury, and it's getting quite expensive as they rarely get used unless we have probationers, which we don't at present. Are there any other armoury facilities on camp which might be a bit more restricted in access times but are cheaper?
Careful now/that sort of thing

Re: Bisley firearms storage
this is one of the reasons (there are lots of others) I resigned from the NRA, they seem to have no other purpose but to screw shooters who do not live in the Thames valley area, the true cost of storage to the NRA is not very great

Club affiliation is £25 & small (4-6 gun) locker £80 pa, (they are deep so std fliptop cans in the bottom is ok - use own padlock). NB no primers, powder or pyrodex.
Armoury is in the middle of camp in Sit Pet & can be seen here - https://www.sitpetlodge.co.uk/ Affiliated clubs can use the club house to meet, make tea etc & hire bed pods at an adult club rate.
Access is code & fob. Fob deposit £10 one off fee. The Armoury is accessible between 7:30am & 10pm weekends / high season & outside of those times by prior contact. All funds are recycled into Jnr/Younger shooting.
Anything left outside a locker is likely to get nicked by a uni club & put to darned good use!

Yep, our club joined L&M for pretty much this reason. A couple of lockers in L&M worked out cheaper and more practical for us.johngarnett wrote: ↑Thu Dec 01, 2022 9:58 am Do you belong to any Bisley Clubs? ie North London, L & M etc??

Re: Bisley firearms storage
Young shooters looks very interesting, I looked at L&M and they are cheaper than the NRA armoury as well, but is the young shooters armoury accessible low season? And if no primers/powder/pyrodex what about complete rounds?
Thanks for the responses. any other clubs offer storage?

The armoury is open 24/ if some prior arrangement is made. There is a 24/h number but call it at 1am and you might get 'extra advice' as well as how to access. Generally at weekends its 'openable' remotely with the right credentials.shugie wrote: ↑Sat Dec 03, 2022 7:24 pm Young shooters looks very interesting, I looked at L&M and they are cheaper than the NRA armoury as well, but is the young shooters armoury accessible low season?
