no, but the ones that look like a metal flourescent tube was used years ago with a thermostat.

I have a small 30w heater - runs all the time, maybe 10 years with no problems:

Be careful with cabinet heaters as they can dry the wood out too much.
Never argue with an idiot, he will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.
