Giving up shooting

I have succumbed to old age and ill health and have decided to give up the sport I love after 63 years.
I have had a great deal of pleasure, made some friends and achieved some good results.
All my guns and equipment are going to be sold by Gardners Guns.
I have some nice stuff to sell. Feel free to contact them.

That's a bummer Rog, but I believe we have had the best of it. Shooting and the freedoms we had are in sharp decline, none of the new generation will understand that, in our youth you could walk into the post office and buy your shotgun certificate for 7/6 then wander over to the the local ironmongers and buy a Webley .410 and a box of Fourlongs for a few quid. They will never have the fun of rolling up to a fairground shooting gallery and spending all your pocket money on the little pump action .22 short rifles or browsing through the latest Guns Review and deciding if to buy a new CZ75 or or an old Luger P08 with matching accessories.

I wish you well in your retirement, but you need to find something to occupy your time.

Thats a shame to hear, but I hope you do find another absorbing hobby which can deliver the same pleasure shooting has given you in your retirement from the sport.

About time you bowed out you old git! :D Seriously Rog, your wit - and sarcasm! - will be missed around the camp fire. Take it easy and we still haven't had that coffee.

You'll feel a lot better for it lol
Just remember that terrible feeling of wasting all that money you used to get, spending thousands on expensive rifles, scopes and ammunition and then you still couldn't hit anything! troutslapping
