Has any one got a Yellowboy 357 underlever rifle.

A friend of mine has just bought a new Yellowboy rifle in .357 mag. Last saturday while firing it for the first time with the factory ammo he had bought with the gun, 2 boxes of S&B fmj 158 grn . He had several cases split half way up the case, plus some were showing signs of being ready to. l know from fellow shooters plus some experience my self that S&B can be very thin walled and not alot of good when it comes reloading, or could it be a headspace problem. Yours views would be much apreciated.

Hadn't heard of the rifle, so just looked it - very nice
You can feel how thin S&B brass is when you resize it. If you're talking about 'Magtech' ammo, then the jacketed .357 is the hotest they do...but this shouldn't be a problem on the first firing for the cases or the rifle.
Is there a problem with the chamber?...One thing that I noticed on the Uberti website, was that it only showed the 'Yellowboy' as being chambered in .38 special....?

Just to update you regarding the underlever rifle. It transpires that it is a Henry Big Boy rifle, made in the USA. They come chambered in .357/44mag and 45 colt. l just read a report on a American website regarding the model my mate has got and it seems highly regarded. He has stopped shooting it until he gets some answers from the dealer he bought it from. Thanks for your interest so far.
