Hello
O`h what memories I had a luger and a P38 pre 96 with an eclectic collection of others
This add reminds me of when Kranks had a large bin with old military pistols with a buy one get one free sign.
Anybody else have memories to share, Ex pistol shooters are now getting thin on the ground ?

Lawrence Tully used to sell boxed Margolin Vostock target pistols.
The pistols were in the wooden cases but all the "bits" were higglety piglety in bins and you had to sort through them if you wanted a complete boxed pistol.
He also used to sell mixed headstamp .22RF by the lb from bins labeled "Interesting ,22 ammunition"

Among others. I had a Webley .32 auto that came with an original box. I bought it from York Guns in King Street, York. It cost £75 with 50 rounds of ammunition. I walked round the shops in York with my wife afterwards with it and the ammo in a plastic carrier bag. This would be mid 1980s. I only have the box now and that is a bit tatty.
Regards
Peter.

Of all the semi auto pistols, the classics and the wonder nines, what I really miss are my snub noses revolvers.
S&W model 15, 2” barrel, Combat Masterpiece and my M65, 357, 3” barrel. That was fixed sights that were spot on with the old “FBI load”, 158gn SWCHP at 900fps… bloody loved that gun!!

I had a Webley 3 inch pocket revolver in .32 S&W Long with the overhand grip. I used to shoot that and my .32 Auto in the pocket pistol competitions at the Trafalgar Meetings in the late 1980s to 1996. I was never much good but enjoyed shooting them.
Regards
Peter.

Yes I remember the Vostocks very well, shot at my old pistol club quite a few times and always enjoyed it. if I remember it came with some weird accessories but cannot remember exactly.

David tells me that one can pick a Spanish 9mm semi auto for about £90 up here, legitimately.

I had a nice Spanish Star B in 9mm at one time, not a bad pistol at all. My first pistol in early '70's was a semi-auto Mangolin/Vostok in the wooden box with all the bit's, muzzle weigh, palm shelf, oil bottle cleaning rod, wooden handled screw driver. About £65 new. Also single shot .22lr Webley pistol and .380 revolver. Single shot Drulov, S&W Mod 14, K38 single action only Target revolver, Walther, Pardini, Britarms, Browning M150
