I was in a gun shop yesterday and noticed they had Aguila. 308 in stock so I bought a box to try. After I got home I looked up the reviews and found they nearly all said it was rubbish. The reviews were not recent so I wonder if anyone has any current experience of this ammunition. I will try it next time I go to the range and see if the reviews are correct. It was 150 grain fmj that I bought.
Regards
Peter.

Hello
I have been using Aguila .22 HV copper washed, since having problems getting my CCI Blazer, I have found it to be excellent and very clean burning.

I cant comment on the 308 but I was recently RO`ing a range where a chap was using Aguila 6.5cm factory ammo.
We both agreed it was best if he stopped using it as there were only so many misfire drills I deemed appropriate!

Well, I shot my 20 round box of Aguila ammunition today. The reviews were right, it is not very good. It shot 2-21/2 inch groups at 100 yards. Also , one round failed to go bang. I know you are not supposed to, but I tried it twice and it still wouldn't go bang. It averaged 2755 FPS. I will not be buying any more. The group from my reloads came in at 1 inch.

Try some 167 Lapua Scenar, I've tried the PPU 168 "match" in several 308's and they are not good!

Kranks are now selling them at £45/100! they should be shot!

I've used hundreds of the Privi 168gr hp match bullets in my 7.62 target rifle, 1 in 14" and 1 in 12" barrels, plus my k31 without issues. They go in the bull when I do my part.

I've been using the Privi 155gr hp match bullets too for the last 4 years or so. Shot my very first "possible " with them last year, a 50.6 at 500 yards. The only apparent issue has been reports from the butts at a thousand that my bullets were tumbling, I was still scoring in the high 40's though. The problem was probably down to the barrel having too slow twist at 1 in 14", I've recently had it swapped out for a 1 in 12" but I haven't had chance to try it at further than 100 yards so far. Signs are promising though with 10 shot groups with either bullet down to about 1 1/2" , which is about as good as I can shoot with my smallbore target rifle. This is with sling and aperture sights.
