Another new pistol

Sold off several firearms but some of the funds stuck to my fingers so I picked up this made in Turkey Inglis (not the Canadian company of WW2 fame) model. It will join my two other Hi Powers. Haven't shot it yet, the unseasonable cold has shut down the range due to icing over of the range road. Hope to make it out next week to give it a try.

I had a Hi-Power (Canadian police issue, I think), back in the dear dead days, when 50 rounds of 9mm Para were £2.75.......the pistol was £70.....nice and tight, with hardly worn wood grips.

Hello
Sorry but don`t you know that in 1996 all UK pistol shooters had there property stolen by the Government, these posts are just rubbing salt into the wound.

No please continue.
In the UK there is a growing number of section 7.1 & 7.3 pistol owners who are not only saving historic pistols but also preserving modern pistols that meet certain criteria.
Yes it was a big blow to lose everything back in 96 but police forces are now realising that we can legally own pistols with absolutely zero risk to the public.
Section 7.3 heritage days at Bisley are way over subscribed, there you can research & study the pistols which includes shooting them.
These firearms are part of our heritage and the history surrounding them is very important to preserve, as is documenting new firearms that come onto the market.
A fellow collector has almost every pistol made by FN so something like your Turkey Inglis is very interesting.....

rufrdr,
Please don't stop posting.
There will be many grateful to you for showing us what is still out there and will act as a reminder of what we lost. It will keep the fire burning :good:
Thank you.

Please don't.

I suspect Mauserbill was expressing British irony.
