I would be very interested to hear from experienced target shooters what loads, powder, filler, wad or no wad, that they use in their .44 revolvers. I have recently acquired a Uberti 1860 Army and would appreciate some guidance.

I have a .44 Pietta and shoot 17.1grn by weight (which equates to ~21gn volume) of Triple 7 FFG. I use a prelubed wad, no filler and a .457 ball.

I do all right in club comps, won the cup last year with this pistol and load.

Not the .44 1860, but capandball channel has recently dropped a very interesting video on what contributes to accuracy!
