New product announcement from ShootingSight LLC.
ShootingSight LLC is pleased to announce several new products for the shooter. Among them:
A lens holder for the rear sight on a match rifle. This Male x Female thread extender for an M9.5 x 1mm thread (standard iris thread) holds a corrective lens inside it, keeping the lens perpendicular to your line of sight, and having the optical center of the lens centered in your vision.
The correct hyperfocal lens strength will not vary with light conditions or target distance, so rather than getting rid of your existing iris and buying an expensive adjustable diopter iris that you will adjust once and never change, this attachment simply inserts the lens you need, where you need it, and holds it there robustly. No moving parts, so it will hold up to recoil.
This holder is ideal to insert a cylinder correction lens for an astigmatism, because after installing the lens, you can turn the holder to the ideal axis alignment while looking through your sights, then lock it in place with the jam nut.
The lens is held in front of the iris to minimize risk of it getting dirty, though unlike adjustable diopters, it can be disassembled in minutes for cleaning.
Lens holder is $35 without a lens, or $70 with a Polycarbonate AR coated lens included. UK shipping is likely less than $5 additional.
