Hi all im wanting some help to idenife some old ammo.
My frend was clearing out an old cottage that he live at now and found some old ammo. He didnt have eny idear what it was so asked if i count fined out some info.

This is what i can make out on the box,

He want to know,
1. what they are
2. the legal side to having them
3. are they of eny use to some one or should he just hand them in to the police station

If he is not an FAC holder with the correct variation I would have said it was illegal to hold them and they are far too nice to be destroyed. Better to find a collector or friendly RFD (Quickly!) Bottom one is a pinfire of some sort.

I dont know what they are ,but unless you have a licence with that particular round specified its not legal to have possesion of them , I would think a collector may well be interested in them , either hand them in at a police station and they will go for destruction or maybe a firearms dealer will take them off your hands , certainly get it sorted ASAP .

I always thought it did, but I'm happy to be told I'm wrong.

Its the paucity of ammunition that makes the firearm obsolete.

If its live ammunition it needs to be on ticket.

In that case, yes, give it to the police or an RFD. It would be nice to see these rounds go to a collector. I know a few who I'll ask if they want to take the rounds, if you like?
