New Boy

#1 Post by Mossy »

Hello,

Just joined (first ever forum actually). I've been shooting full bore for last 10 years or so. Mainly informal target with older military plus a couple of more moderen rifles. Looking forward to chatting with like minded shooters.

Hi and welcome.

Come, come - share. Where do you shoot and what do you have?

Please note - the correct answer is " I shoot .303" :D

Thanks for the welcome.

I have an 1917 SMLE, an old 0.303 sporter, a 7.92 x 57 K98K, 6.5 x 55 Sako 85, a 0.308 built on a Lawton action (pacnor barrel, jewel trigger, A5 stock) a .22LR Sako Quad and hopefully a Martini Henry due to be delivered in the next 3 weeks.
Will be seeking some guidance on reloads for the MH if there is anyone out there who shoots one.
I'm a member of the Aberdeen Full Bore Gun Club and have recently joined the CSSC (a bit closer to home).
I reload for all rifles except 0.22LR (obviously) and strangely enjoy doing it! Does that make me normal?

Welcome to the forum Mossy, sounds like a very nice collection - I have a soft spot for SMLE's having owned a 1915 No1 Mk3* - sadly no longer around. I am sure we have a few MH shooters on the forum so you should be able to pick up some information :good:

Out of interest how did you stumble upon this forum?

Hi Mossy, greetings from down the road in Dundee. This is a great forum with a friendly, knowledgeable bunch.
