I have some favtory .303 Sellier and Bellot 180 that I want to use up, has anyone tried the stuff beyond 800 yards? We are out at 800/1000/1200 yards this weekend and my view is it should get to the 800 & 1000 yards marks fairly easily however I would be interested to hear of any comments or observations.

Yes I know it is S&B however I am not looking to hold 0.5MOA from the 1000 yard firing point.

I might even take the P14 and the 4(T) :good:

I certainly know people that have used 180g S&B out to 1000 yards with no problem, and that was with a standard No4 rifle with iron sights.

I use 180gr S&B in my No1 and P14 out to 600 yards and it'll certainly hit what you aim at. As you say, it wont be MoA, but it'll certainly hit the black.
