1943 No4 Mk1(T) with one of the very last No32 Mk1 Kershaw's fitted with MOA Index plates that could well be original and a Dalglish bracket. I will try and sort some better pictures out.

I have shot a competition at 200 and once out to 600m with it so far and it seemed OK.

He reckons I broke it! :o

Broke it! Short of bashing against a wall I would have thought they were pretty well indestructable.

I keep looking at them I have a few Enfields and one of those would top off the collection very well, untill I saw something else like an L42 for instance, but its always the same either I have the money and there isnt any about or there are some about and I dont have the money  thats life I suppose ill have to act soonish though as prices seem to be going through the roof, but also some very moody ones about so im told

Kev, speak to Paul when you are looking for one. Firstly, I'll bet he knows where one is available, likewise, he'll be able to let you know the genuine ones or not......

I've actually got an old Gunmart, pre the handgun ban, there are one or two listed in there and you could get one, in it's chest, with all the accessories, numbered........ for the cost of a Sig 226!!!!!!

If only we knew.......

I think the L42 is a bridge too far these days, the prices have have probably risen by a factor of ten over the last 5 years. A sling for an L42 is 150 quid plus these days! The 4(T) is another example of how things rise at silly prices and as you say, given the number of moody examples around I even worry about mine despite Roger Smith giving it the thumbs up when he looked it over recently.

A good choice right now would be a Swedish Mauser sniper in 6.5X55, they are a more accurate rifle and a lot cheaper at the moment but no doubt that will change soon.

Recent L42 prices are a staggering 5.5-7k!
