Just moved to the UK

Hello everyone,
I have just moved to the UK and I thought the best way to start out (concerning firearms) is to join this forum.
A little about myself:
I have been a sport shooter for about 7 years now (4 years military before that) mainly in F-Class open matches and a little IPSC rifle.
In Australia, just like here, we are not allowed semi-auto rifles so thats where the F-class interest came from, but when I moved to Hungary and lived there for 2 years (just before I came here) I did a little IPSC rifle also.....unfortunately and obviously I had to give that up again for the move here and sell my L1A1 (And yes...I am a little heartbroken ), so now its just F-class again.
So, now I'm here and I would like to get my firearms certificate so I can bring my rifle over from Hungary.
The one rifle I have now is a modified Weatherby Vanguard. 28" heavy Palma Lothar barrel, custom muzzle brake, fully bedded Manners composite stock, customised and tuned factory trigger, sinclair Tactical bipod and a Nightforce NXS 8-32 X 56 on a 20MOA Roedale pic. mount. If I do my part then its capable of shooting 1" groups at 300m with lapua 155 silver scenar handloads running at 2950fps.
As far as I know, I'll need two referees (check), be a member of a local shooting club (not yet), and then buy an appropriate safe to store my rifle in. When all this is done I hand my paperwork work in and then wait, is that right?
I'm in Cambridge and I'd like get back into F-class or some form of long range shooting, if anybody is in this area with the same interests I wouldn't mind getting in contact.
Cheers
Attila
