My Brother in Afghanistan

#1 Post by Christel »

He says he is having a really nice time, knows a lot of the people at the camp.

That picture was taken on the 31st of December 2011. He was out shooting .50 and a dysekanon m79 (rpg) but the Internet is a bit flaky where he is so he said he would show me later.

He is due home start of February 2012.

Godspeed.
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

One of the CB90's my brother is there to upgrade, this one has a RPG grill and it looks like it has a 30mm Bushmaster on it.

I have had the questionable privilege to go for a ride in one of these

They have a really good camera system inside so one can see all angles including what the Bushmaster is aimed at, it has some pretty sophisticated target tracking systems.
Seat 7 inside plus 3 crew with seats and harness and believe you me one needs the harness to keep one's kidneys
They go really fast so it is a bumpy ride in the back, up front it is apparently really nice and smooth (he told me)
:-P

I had a sit in one of these. The controls were certainly made for the younger generation that have grown up using joy sticks and computer games.
