Here is a handgun I believe some may find of interest, picked this one up several years ago. The condition is what caught my attention as many wartime HSc's are on the rough side, this example had the original holster. What sealed the deal for me was when I noticed the German Soldiers name and feldpost number still visible on the inside holster flap. Apparently this HSc belonged to Uffz Mohr. Researching the feldpost this is the unit Mohr belonged too

L51452

(12.3.1943-7.9.1943) 11. Kompanie Luftnachrichten-Flugmelde-Regiment 91,
(23.4.1944-24.11.1944) 6.11.1944 3. Kompanie Führer-Luftnachrichten-Abteilung.

Wow, that is in very good condition!!

Wiki tells me:
Military personnel of all ranks not issued sidearms often purchased HSc pistols in the commercial marketplace and carried them in the field. Such commercial pistols often returned with veterans as World War II war souvenirs, often in military proofed HSc holsters.
Which I found interesting. Did you go any further in researching the original owner of this HSc?

He must have kept it in the holster wrapped up in the wax paper from the original commercial box.

I was once issued a completely brand new Inglis hipower in the green polythene ordnance storage bag from Donnington or wherever. As a (then) recently deprived civvie pistol shooter, i found it so appealing in its mint "collectors grade" state that I kept it in the bag in my holster - eventually sadly handing it back unappreciated in its pristine state. I should have just "lost" it, and taken the rap...

So far I have only been able to determine the feldpost number belonged to a Luftwaffe signals company. One interesting note is the signals company ceased existence on June 9 1944 I'm guessing our combined D-Day landings had something to do with this? Research on this subject has been slow even with the internet.

Researching the history of old military rifles and pistols is fascinating and many hours can pass with little progress but it is worth every bit of time.

Attempted to capture the markings with a better quality pic. I forgot to add, yes I have fired it and it works pretty good. The domestic 7.65 is loaded a little light for it, Sellior@Bellot 7.65 works the best. I guess it like ammo closer to home.

FMG the WaA is 135 ?
Any maker markings on the holster ?

from the original commercial box
It is a Wehrmacht issued pistol not a commercial one …
