One RAF failure !

Watch closely for the ejection ... the pilot has landed before the aircraft even stops! And the seat can be seen landing too.

An excellent landing and the trick is to work out how far up the ship will rise, hover just above that, as the ship hits the peak, drop the aircraft onto the deck (slam it down) and that will hold it in place. Try it while the ship is rising and the undercarriage can be damaged, or when dropping you are playing catch up and normally hit the deck just before it rises again.

Some top flying from the Navy. Did anyone notice the very basic Garmin GPS above the dashboard of the helicopter?

So why is it an RAF failure? He brought the harrier back and stayed with it for as long as possible.

All the Navy pilot was doing was landing in a bit of wind and swell. I would hope a Navy Pilot would be able to that as a matter of course!

But the Crab broke it! and only stayed there that long to Brylcreem his hair before ejecting!

As they say: "A good landing is one you can walk away from" he certainly didn't and he even had a nice flat stable runway.

It probably broke because it had been exposed to that nasty salt spray and had the Navy playing with it!

Anyway, greasing it onto the tarmac in flames and banging out shows more style than just plonking it onto a ship! :55:

According to JFS it is the HDMS Ejnar Mikkelsen so will be somewehere around Greenland I would have thought.
