Hello form another Northerner

Hi there,

I'm Laurie, I live in York and do most of my shooting with the PSSA at Diggle. Gun Pimp has brought the forum to my attention, it looks a good one, so here I am.

I shoot F-Class and F/TR, benchrest, and the occasional McQueens or similar. I'm a registered competitor with the GB F-Class Association and get to as many national F-Class rounds as I can manage and afford each year. I also do a lot of handloading development and testing writing the results up in TargetShooter, the rump of the old Target Sports mag in The Sporting Rifle, and the odd bit elsewhere. At the moment I seem to have caught the long-range .223 Rem bug and do my best to embarass the doubters who say it's no good beyond 600 yards! Apart from the good old .308 Win which I'll always use, i'm really a smallbore man (no rude remarks from the back of the class please!) and like 6 and 6.5mm - 5 of them in the cabinets with another couple on the way!

Welcome to the forum Laurie, I have read your articles with interest in the past and it is good to see you here. I will look for your posts with interest, especially as you seem to have the ability to do 'unnatural' things with .223's and as my wife likes to point out, there is nothing better than out shooting the guys with the bigger guns.

When I was last on the F range at Sennibridge I was surprised at my hitting head and shoulders tagets at 780m with my 223rem Rem 700 police. 69gn MatchKings thru a 26" 1:9 barrel.

I must try serious target shooting one day.
