Britains first photo album

#1 Post by pe4king »

Last year our club were asked to help with some filming, the following link should show the finished article.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/i/b01dlvh4/?t=21m37s
All in all it was an interesting day seeing the workings of a film crew, albeit small.
Apologies for the pink polo shirt I was only supposed to be supplying the rifle.
If nothing else its another positive look at shooting even if its only a few minutes long.

Very good :goodjob:

For anyone without the patience to watch the whole thing the shooting starts at around the 23 minute mark.

It's a good series; along the lines of Portillo's 'Great Railway Journey' . Wife and I make a point of watching both.

I did think it was a bit tight not to give him a clean target though!

He always comes across as a happy, interested chap. Not bad on the dance floor either.

He was a nice bloke with a good sense of humour, one comment made to him was I hope your shooting is better than your dancing.
When it was all finished he sat and had his lunch and washed it down with a couple of bottles of old speckled hen, which seemed a bit odd still on the range, but he had finished.
He also had a cabbie on some other rifles, Martini Henry,SMLE etc but that wasn't shown

There's a trailer for next weeks/tomorrows where he tucks in at a brewery so maybe he likes a pint.

In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?
